Biamp Portland Jazz Festival FREE Community Event: Ramsey Embick
This is a free community event as part of the 2025 Biamp Portland Jazz Festival.
Ramsey Embick is an Oregon native who started his first soul band in high school and never looked back. Band leader for the Pointer Sisters in the 80’s, also worked on projects with Jennifer Holiday, Gladys Knight, The Whispers, Gerald LeVert, Rene & Angela, Michael Jackson, The Commodores, Bobby Womack, Edgar Winter. Ramsey is also the Pianist that was tasked with the opportunity to perform the Chick Corea tribute at Cathedral Park Jazz and the Joe Zawinul tribute for PDX Jazz at the Mission Theater He Performed with Alphonse Mouzon at the Santa Monica Jazz Festival and played duets with local legend Tom Grant.
